THE CREATIVE QUARTER
Sneinton Market has become the heart of the creative quarter. Home to local, creative businesses. In this part of town, you can relax with friends amongst the creative residence of Nottingham. Look around independent shops, discover new street food and listen to live music.
As well as Sneinton market, Nottingham City Centre is striving with trendy independent coffee shops, bars and cinemas. Below is a list of places to go and visit in amongst the day time drinking in spoons.

Broadway Cinema
Want to go to the cinema but you’ve spent too much on nights out? Broadway Cinema is the place to go. Under 25 tickets are £4.50. You can even make a whole evening of it by eating at the Broadway café bar, have a few beers and pizza before the film. The new Broadway bite gives you 20% off food when you show your cinema ticket. In need of a relaxing night after fresher’s week? Why not see what’s on at Broadway. http://www.broadway.org.uk/

200 Degrees Coffee
Coffee lover? 200 Degrees is known for its unique coffee. They want you to enjoy the perfect coffee surrounded by others with coffee obsessions. There are two in Nottingham, one in the city centre and the other next to the train station perfect for a quick hit before your journey home. 200 Degrees is also a great place to do work if you need to escape from the library or your noisy flatmates. Take your laptop and enjoy one of 200 Degrees homemade brownies – I’d personally recommend.

White Rose
If you’re interested in fashion and like to find a good bargain it’s likely you’ll find one in White Rose. They are a trendy charity shop which brings high-quality second-hand fashion to the streets of Nottingham. All the clothes are handpicked branded fashion items ready to be re-worn. There are three White Rose shops around Notts, 2 located in Hockley and the other just off the market square. It is definitely worth a look, you never know what bargain you could find.

Braderie
Braderie stocks its shop with vintage fashion as well as clothes which have been reworked. The store is on Pelham street which is between the market square and Hockley. The brands passion for vintage and recycled clothing fits in perfectly in the Creative Quarter. Their stock gets changed twice a week so it’s always worth popping in at least once a week to see the new stock. The shop makes you feel as if you’re in a high street store, rather than a shop full of worn and upcycled garments. Braderie is also surrounded by lots of coffee shop and food places, such as wired, homemade and the fox café. All which offer fantastic homemade treats, shakes and delicious coffee.

Its Simple
Its Simple is based in Sneinton Market. This independent store sells original clothing at affordable prices. The brand is aimed at street wear; however, they believe their clothing could be bought by anyone who’s into fashion. All the items I the Its Simple store are limited with around only 50 of the same designs being printed. Therefore, if you’re looking for some fashionable but don’t want to buy it off the high street, Its Simple might be the place for you.
The clothing, especially the t-shirts are very graphic reminding me of aspects taken from the graffiti around Sneinton market. Street wear accessories are also available in the store, with a variety of cap designs and shows covered in graffiti markings.

As well as selling original clothing, Its Simple also promotes new music talents through the brand ‘blood, sweat and music’. These artists that they promote are used to show their customers that dreams are possible, as well as showing how the musicians put their blood and sweat into the music they create. In the shop window the promotion of music is visible, with many posters of gigs and event happening around Nottingham
The brands motto is ‘Its Simple, the lifestyle is blood, sweat & dreams’. This meaning Its simple is the motto and blood, sweat and dreams is the lifestyle. Closely connected to the skaters of Nottingham, who all live their lives with big dreams.
